.Old Town Signature. || 16th July 2010 ||

i recently went to eat at Old Town Signature in One Utama [New Wing].
why..? : because i was tooooo lazy to walk to the old wing. thats why. LOL
now...
im gonna tell you whats the difference between Old Town and Old Town Signature.


1. First thing first. There's no order chit on your table for you to fill in and later ask the waiter to pass it on to the kitchen. [or rather enter it into the system].
This means the waiters/waitresses themselves will be taking order from you.

2. YESSSSS. the glass is BIGger. <3
thank god. im sure many of you had and still are complaining about the petite glass they serve drinks in in Old Town. In Old Town Signature, the glasses are much taller.

3. This im not too sure. but i THINK the bowl is also bigger.. though it looks small here.
sorry for my noob photography skills. LOL
owh yeahh. the chopsticks are different too.
supposedly more classy i assume :S

4. yup. the chairs are more comfortable to sit on.
I remember how my friends and I always feel bad for big-sized customers in Old Town when we see them trying to squeeze their butt into the small stool.

5. Not forgetting nicer interior design and decorations.




owh and of course..! its definitely more pricey than the other Old Town. :S
They have more variety though. :D

.three totally unrelated random rants. || 15th August 2009 ||

I wish I really do have a proper room.
I realise that each time I'm back in Penang, I cant find my room.
The room that used to be mine, has [and had] apparently turned into my bro's CRIB.
I cant find MY things in MY room.
And then I have to sleep on the floor on a mattress.
Ermm well... I do have a SOFAbed in my parents room. Which I cant even sleep comfortably in because the metal support of The Bed has given way.
I'll wake up with back aches.
W.O.W.
How more pathetic can that be..?



The few [I would say crucial] things that really bother me while I'm staying in the hostel :
1. Having an untidy roommate.
2. Food sucks.
3. The fact that I cant clear my bowel WHILE I bathe. Simply because the shower and toilet are not in the same cubicle.



Please. Play badminton using the appropriate shuttlecock.
I really cant stand playing badminton using an out-of-specs shuttlecock.
Too heavy, or too light.
Either way, its not fun.

that b****** kicked my dad's car.
crazy.
dented summore.
but then sudah "pumped" it out d.
using that pump toilet bowl thingy. LOLz

was at A&W near my coll.
then bro was slowing down the car cause was looking for parking lot.
then this car from the back came at top speed.
honk honk two three times.
mum summor said "whats the matter. want to beranak d zit..?!"

then moments after that he overtake our car.
and stopped parallel and stared at us.
bro gave him the middle finger.

WAHHHH.
he cannot tahan d.
got down from the car.
started shouting shouting "you bawak kereta apa. brek brek brek."

bro got fired up.
wanted to get down from the car d.
but considering me and mum in the car so he didnt.
if he was alone, or with a bunch of boys, that fella sure kena d.

come on la.
that A&W summor is together with petrol kiosk wann.
how fast can you move around in a petrol kiosk..?
just because you drive a Mercedes, doesnt mean you have to show off.
and the worst part is that he is inside the car with his parents..!
an elderly malay couple.
they look educated.
but certainly NOT him.

lost the parking ticket at OneU just now AFTER paying it.
must have left it at the machine and didnt take it out after it was ejected.
and my mum made ME pay 20bucks for the lost ticket.

lately i have friends calling or texting me saying

"you know what im working at Nandos Gurney now. and you remember that Brandon..? yday i saw him with..................."
"eh free come find me la. me working at Parkson now. and there's this guy at counter 5....................."
"this is crazy mannnn. i've never handle so much cash in my entire life. its so nice to be a cashier............."


and i wonder how many of them will be pursueing [is that how i spell it..?] Business or Hospitality later on.
so my point is....
this three four months we're free, how many of us are actually doing something that may benefit us in the near future..?

yes i know some of you may say : Heyyyyy. get money what.. 4bucks per hour times 8hours a day times 6days a week times.............
ya la. i also know. =.=

while some of you [of us?] may be a promoter at a shop, a waiter at a restaurant, a cashier at a cinema ticketing counter,
im working as a temporary QC clerk in a factory.
i know its something most of you havent gone through at this age.

well mine is a bit diff cause im actually working as a clerk.
in a QC lab.
in a factory. that produces detergents.
trust me. its really interesting.

paperwork is fine.
i mean you do it all the time in sch. right..? LOL

but when i dont have much paperwork to do, i'll be helping out in the lab.
yeah i work under a supervisor in this QC department.
she's actually a chemist.
so what do i do actually..?
a lab assistant.

ermm.. just something like what you do in the sch science lab.
i take the pH value and check the viscosity of the liquid.
if its not within the specs, i'll have to add certain compound to it; NaOH, salt, citric acid etc.
stuffs like that.

and really.
its hell of an experience.
besides that, i get to know more bout the production line,
the blending department who supply us the bulk to be tested,
the managers and upperhands who demand for this and that.

of course, the pay is low.
and i do mean real low.
but i think i not only earn money here.
im earning new experience and knowledge.
things that i've never known.
its a whole diff world where for the past 17years i've never open my eyes too.

yeahh i know just how much i hate chemistry in sch.
its never my thing.
but ever since working here, i find it interesting somehow. =]
butttttttt.... engineering is still my choice^^ x]



so yeahh.. thats my words of wisdom for today. LOL

so im currently in Labuan now..
today's the second day..
yday travelled a WHOLE day..
left PG airport at 12.30..
waited at LCCT for 4hours.. zzz
then boarded the AirAsia to Labuan at 5.30 which only took of at 6.30.. zzz

slept at 4.00am last night/this morning..
woke up at 5.40am..
suppose to wait for Quraisyia and gang to arrive at 5.40am to bath in my room..
but she arrived only at 6.00am.. zzz

so anyway i got up of my bed at 5.50am..
went to the balcony window pane and OPEN THE CURTAINSSS..!
WoOhoO~! it was bright day light..
mind you Labuan is actually in a diff time zone..
only that we standardise it..
so their 6.00am looks like 8.00am on the Peninsular Msia..

next i went to all the rooms and ON THE LIGHTS.

after breakfast at 7.30am [at a very stuffy place]..
we went for our rehearsal..

during rehearsal..
we were given only 30minutes..

so we try out many things..

esp badminton fans..

so many of you will say that i should be proud of our ChongWei that he made it to the Finals in the Olympics..
but heyy..
look at his performance mann..
its really bad..
and at certain point, he didnt even bother to stretch for the ball..

is RM1,000,000 too little for him..?
or was he thinking bout it too much sampai tak boleh concentrate..?
either way, his concentration was really somewhere else la i think..

what was he thinking mann..?
i mean Msians are so proud and happy that he made it that far..
and he cant even play a good game for us..?
and its not like he hadnt beaten LinDan before..
he did it for a few times already..!

so he is left with 300k..
still not bad la after all..

anyways did anyone noticed that he did shed some tears while on the podium..?
when receiving his medal..
and in fact he didnt even smiled a bit during the whole prize giving ceremony..

so i went out for dinner alone just now..
drove to Great Wellesley..
its like a chinese food court..
most ppl call it "hee tai" in hokkien..
which means theatre in English..
cause that place used to be a theatre..

the place was packed..
have to wait to get a table..
its like Super Tanker la..
but not so bigg..
i myself waited for approximately 8minutes for a table..

okay now i tell you why i gotta wait that long..
there was this guy..
in his early 30's..
alone..
finish makan d..
so i pun waited for his table la..
the plate and glass pun the person sudah take away from his table d..
his table top was empty d..
then he lighted his cigarette..
i thought he nak blahh d..
manatau he sat there lagi..
then after awhile one of the hawkers sent him his packed food..
owhh.. he was waiting for the packed food..
okay fair enough..

THENN.. he dont want to leave yet..!
dont know whats his problem..
dah la saw me standing there..
i geram d..
gave him a stare..
he bwat bodoh..
fineeeee..

then a guy who sells newspaper walked past..
he bought it..
then only got off the table..

this means he was waiting for a newspaper guy to pass so that he can grab one..
kebetulan one passed..
so if for the next half an hour none pass means he'll sit there for half an hour and wait still..??
when there's like another god knows how many ppl waiting for tables..
damn babi la i tell you that guy..
stupid..

then nvm..
so when he finally left, i get to sit down..
then there's this lady in her mid 50's..
came and stand in front of my table..
waiting for her husband to cari tempat..

and the thing is..
she's carrying this kid around 3 years old d..
can walk d..
she's standing so darn close to my table that this kid of hers is practically vertically above my table..!
and he's like swinging his legs..
WTF. im eating kayy..

so this shows how ignorant some Malaysians are..
damn.
